To build a community used to generate long-term bonds between the different stakeholders of the company, and we consider that all people may make Contributions of Value to the organisation in order to Build Community.
Human communities are structured around three expectable results: Loyalty, Knowledge and Prescription. According to our investigations, in a successful Community:
- People have a high degree of Loyalty, for they consider their Community the only place where they can satisfy their needs.
- People Prescribe constantly to their Community, every time they perceive that another person in their surroundings feels the need covered by their Community, they do so spontaneously.
- People give the Community all of their Knowledge, without restrictions, to help the Community satisfy their needs better and better.
The observation is conclusive: the development of a sense of belonging, an intangible element of Community, naturally brings forth key elements for sustaining it, which are identical to those that a business organisation also needs. Building Community gives value, is an attitude and is possible.
